Our 2nd visit to St Johns Jul 2006 after 6 years

Our Visit to St Johns was from the 26th Jun to the 3rd Jul 2006.
In fact it was during this trip that I got a call from Meng that Go Air wants me to start off as soon as possible.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn St John's during the later part of our weeks stay. Rental cost about US 100 compared to the US 350 we were paying for a room earlier at one of the cottages in St Johns.
This shot was taken on the last day of visit. Really enjoyed St John's in the summer as can be seen from these photos.

Meriam and I at the dinner we hosted for the family.

Dinner with Kay and Robin (2nd and 3rd from left) at a resturant by the warf in St. John's.
Very nice couple. Kay is Lalanya's Aunt.

Neenan's favourite punishment "Go stand in the corner!" And guess who gets it most of the time?
Not my Chapat!!???? Poor Aiden.

A DAY BY THE POOL AT THE HOLIDAY INN:
Meriam in the shade watching the kids.

Actually Aiden is a very cute boy with a character of his own.

Brogen taking a dive. Likes to pose for a photo. Another trait of his Great Grandfather, my Papa, who passed away in the same year Brogen was born.
Brogen is his eldest great grandchild.

(Photo has been deleted inadvertently. Will reinsert later.)

At the Entertainment Park in St Johns.
I am with Brogen and Lalanya with Aiden.
Neen guaranteed that the ride was OK for my heart condition.
(I did not go on the other rides especially the Spinner.)

Brogen and Aiden on the merry-go-round.
Thumbs up! Who does that? Papa ofcourse.

Father and Son. One of the few shots we have together.

Brogen is pretty good at soccer. Like his Great Grandfather was. In fact he plays the position of striker and is the one who scores goals. Here I managed to catch him in the execution of a turn around and shoot.

Future National defender for Canada.
Now what is Aiden doing here?
This is one of the exercises they have to do before they start.
Guess what's he saying?
"Ho!Ho!Ho! this is really funny" and laughing aloud for all to hear.

Very cute simple young boy with a subtle humour. Loveable but reserved in his feelings.

Future Canadian National Striker, Brogen?
Who knows he may even play for Man U one day.

One of the few privilege moments a Grandfather has going around a putting course with grandson. Brogen is a very lovable character like his Grandpa (me of course when I was his age)

Taken at Neenans backyard.
Typically Papa again- Thumbs up - How nice to see it in his off-spring too. Handsome lad.
See what I mean. Aiden is always doing his own thing. Unlike Brogen he's off to do something better than pose
Neens and Lalanya home. Massive. Huge hall, dinning and kitchen. Good decor. Plasma TV ? Hmmmmm! Bought it without informing Lalanya. That's typical Neenan!
Boys are pretty serious as they are having their dinner and Chapat Raman does not want to be disturbed.
Meriam and me with the boys in their backyard
Now you know why I call Aiden Chapat Raman!!!!!
Doing his own thing during a picnic by the Lake. St Johns in summer is so beautiful.
Brogen always offers a pose.

We have just arrived at the picnic spot. The white 4WD is Neens.
